Silver Jubilee Lecture Series

To disseminate psychological knowledge, NAOP proposes to start a Silver Jubilee Lecture Series. NAOP seeks proposals from various Psychology departments so that they can invite a distinguished scholar to deliver lecture at their department. NAOP will provide a seed grant of Rs. 10,000 to organize these lectures. We propose an honorarium of Rs. 5000 for the lecture and the remaining grant be used for organizing the event. Each department can invite only one scholar.

Interested members are requested to send a proposal through their Departments, which should include the following information: (1) Name of the Department (2) Organizer of the Lecture (contact person) (3) Date and Venue of the Lecture (4) A scholar to be invited (5) a tentative title of the lecture and (6) a short CV of the scholar.

Once we receive the proposal, a committee will evaluate the proposal, approve the name of the scholar delivering the lecture, and inform the organizing department. The lecture would be expected to be around 45 minutes with about 30 minutes for discussion and questions. The organizing person has to take responsibility of advertising the lecture in his/her university and other neighbouring institutes. The Department will be asked to send an invoice and the money will be sent against the invoice as an advance and the concerned Department has to send us the account with all receipts. Money can be sent through cheque or money transfer. Organizer is expected to send a few photographs and a brief report that may be put on the website.
